I love live events! Don’t you? Its great to meet people you only work with online and mingle with new folks. If you have been holding back on having a live event, there is no better time than today to begin planning it. It’s easy to have a successful live, in-person event if you prepare. And yes, they do require a little more work than a webinar or teleseminar but they are much more profitable and fun. Follow these tips you’ll be well on your way.
4. Consider Hiring an Event Planner – The cost of an event planner is more than worth it when you consider all the little things that need to be done to ensure your event goes smoothly. An experienced event planner can actually save you money by helping prevent costly mistakes. 5. Recruit Volunteers – Once you know that the event is going to happen and you’ve sold a few tickets, it’s time to recruit some volunteers. The best volunteers are those who have signed up for information about your event but for whatever reason cannot afford to go but fit within your demographic. 6. Market Everywhere – Well, market wherever your audience lives, plays, works and socializes. Your marketing should be directed and specific in order to get a good response. You can have Google Hangouts, webinars, articles, blog posts, eReports and more to promote your event. Everyone involved should be promoting the event with these methods. Also consider advertising your event in the local paper to attract new people who might not find you online. 7. Collect Leads – During your marketing, find ways to collect leads because the people you market to via email directly are more likely to sign up for your event than people who find your information in other ways. Consider allowing affiliates to market your event too. 8. Land Sponsorships – If you can land a well-known sponsor for your event it will make your event seem even more impressive when you say “sponsored by xyz corporation” if that corporation or entity is well known and trusted by your audience. 9. Choose the Right Venue – One of the most important decisions you’ll make is where your event will occur. Ensure that the space is right for the size of your event. You don’t want people to feel too crowded, or as if they are swallowed up by the venue. You also want the style of the event to fit in with the style your audience has in terms of them worrying about what to wear and how to present themselves. 10. Get Technical Help – Even if you are great with technology, monitors, computers, microphones and what-not you really want someone else to take care of these issues. You want to be a personality at the event, not the technical person because it will take away from some of the fun for you. You’ll have enough things to do as it is. 11. Practice the Performance – Your speech, the order of the talks, the use of the technology and so forth needs to be completed on site at the event location when possible to avoid any issues with lighting, technology or even walking up a step or two to get to the podium. This will make you all look more professional and avoid mishaps. 12. Test Technology – It’s been mentioned more than once in this list, but that’s how important it is. You should ask speakers to send you a copy of their presentation prior to the event so that if something happens you’ll have a copy, they’ll have a copy, and put a copy in the cloud just in case. But do not assume the internet will work. Have back up plans. 13. Allow for Breaks – Don’t forget to put realistic breaks into your event so that your participants do not get too fatigued or uncomfortable. Even interesting talks can put people to sleep if they are uncomfortable, hungry, or need to use the restroom. 14. Ensure the Temperature is Comfortable – A very important component of a successful event is how the environment feels to the participants. You don’t want it to be too cold or too warm in the location. If there is an issue, ask it to be fixed on behalf of your guests. 15.Serve Healthy Food – It’s tempting to go crazy and serve heavy food that will shock and awe the participants but you really want them to focus on your message and not their full and possibly sick and over fed stomachs. Give options for different types of people. You can survey those who purchased a ticket to ensure the food choice fits most people. Good planning and plenty of forethought will help ensure your event is a huge success. Not only that, but you’ll be able to create a profitable and fun outing for everyone involved. I can't wait to hear about your first live event! Why is self-esteem so important? Because it controls the results of everything you think and ultimately everything you do. You will operate at the level of your self-esteem.
If you think you deserve something and your self-esteem is at a level for you to get it, your self-esteem will unconsciously and almost miraculously lead you to it. Every action you take will bring you closer to this success, but if your self-esteem is at a level where you cannot see yourself achieving your desire, it will make sure that you don't achieve it. No matter how hard you try. Think self-sabotage at its best. Research has shown this time again. That's why taking care of your self-esteem is one of the most important things you can do to be successful. Luckily, if you didn't grow up with strong self-esteem, as an adult you can raise your self-esteem or even create it. I can help and support you on this journey. Why not schedule a free consolation today to find out more? Speak soon, Sarah If you’re struggling to be productive, it could be a lack of organization at the root of the problem. For some people organization comes naturally, but for most people it requires some energy to learn organization skills.
And even if you’re not inherently organized, there are many things you can do to improve your organization easily. Clean Your Work Area. This sounds so simple, but it can make a huge impact on your work flow. If your work area looks like it was the victim of a recent natural disaster, your productivity will suffer. The first step toward better organization is as simple as cleaning your work area. This means getting rid of trash, organizing papers in file folders or binders, designating storage spaces for office supplies, and throwing away materials that are duplicates or that you no longer need. Put away personal items, empty your rubbish bin and even dust your work surface. Just by doing this your energy will become “unstuck” and your work will flow so much more efficiently. Organize Your Computer and Email. If your computer desktop has fifty icons on it and your email list has hundreds (or dare I say thousands) of emails, it’s time to clean those areas. Make sure that all important documents are stored in logical folders and remove any unused icons from your desktop. Spend a day organizing email so that unimportant emails are deleted and important emails are organized into folders so you can refer to them when you need them. If you have unread mail, read it. Make a plan to delete or sort each email once per day. It is not efficient to spend hours each day wading through emails. Use a Planner. Productive people plan each day with purpose. Using a daily planner – either on paper or electronically – can help you to stay on track and become more productive. It’s best to plan the next day’s work at the end of your work day so that you can begin fresh the next day and know what needs to be done first. Focus Your Efforts. Instead of worrying about trying to do everything at once, learn to focus instead of multi-tasking. Set a designated time or times each day to read email, respond to voicemail, and work on social media. The rest of your day should be spent on more important tasks such as creating content and products. Don’t Procrastinate. Sometimes it’s tempting to put off tasks that are less desirable. But all this does is get you behind schedule and put off the inevitable. This also causes a massive energy block. Remember we discussed this in manifesting abundance class? When you need to do something, just use self-discipline to complete the task and move on. You’ll save time, energy and worry. Stick to a Routine. It’s easier to be productive when you stick to a consistent schedule instead of doing things differently each day. This may sound boring, but over time you’ll find you actually like the regularity of a routine and you’ll get more done in less time. You may also want to read: Are you Productive or Are You Busy? Don't keep "trying" to work harder, longer, etc. We know manifesting success isn't actually about hard work,
Yeah, you have to show up, but you don't have to put in 18 hours every single day. Success is actually all about mindset. Change your mindset and change your life. This week read the signs given to you and adjust your course. You got this! S- Automation is every entrepreneur’s best friend. It allows you to get more done in less time, and to smoothly move people through your funnel. #WinWIn But honestly, many small business owners overlooked is this area in their websites. Read on to understand how automation can improve your sales. Use Your Blog to Build Your Mailing List Like any smart business owner, you likely already have an opt-in forms on your website. Usually people add these forms in the sidebar or maybe the footer, and you might have a pop-up to capture attention as visitors are about to leave. But do you have a solid call to action at the end of your blog posts? When a new reader is finished consuming your posts, they are primed to learn more. Give them the opportunity by offering an opt-in at the end of each post. #Genius Even better, make it a logical next step by creating a related offer for each post. Called a content upgrade, these offers typically consist of a simple checklist or worksheet, and capture attention by providing even more information about a topic they’re already interested in. Keep Them Reading With Related Links How often do you revisit old blog posts to link to newer content? Chances are you have many nuggets of content that will flow easy together, but can your reader fine these treasures? This is an important maintenance job that will help provide visitors with the information they’re looking for by linking related posts together. Not only is this strategy good for keeping visitors on your site, but Google approves as well. Posts that link to each other encourage search engine bots to crawl your site more thoroughly, and help boost the rankings of your most relevant posts. [Hint: This is a perfect job for your VA.] Also if you need help crafting a "Call To Action" for your business download my free e-book here: The Art of Crafting Call To Action For Business Success Make the Best of Your Download Pages Whether you’re giving away a free report or paid product, your download pages can pull double-duty by offering visitors a “what’s next” option. For free download pages, a related, low-cost product is best. It gives readers the chance to learn more about you with a small investment. For paid products, consider offering a complementary product instead. If you’re protecting your download pages with a membership script such as Customer Hub, you can even offer upsells based on what they already own, making the choice even easier for them. And if you’re using a double-opt-in mailing list, make use of that confirmation page, too! That’s the perfect place for a quick upsell or an invitation to join you in your Facebook group or weekly Periscope. Here’s a good rule of thumb to follow on your website: Whenever a reader lands on a page, she should be offered the next logical step. When you write your blog posts or create your download pages, keep that in mind, and your funnel will practically fill itself. Next step: Look over your funnel with fresh eyes and make necessary changes. Speak soon, Sarah If there’s one thing we know about goals, they have to be SMART, right? After all, that’s what we’ve been told for years. The only thing that matters is that your goals are: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely. While that looks great on paper, (and clearly it’s easy to remember) it is the kiss of death for entrepreneurs. Think about it. Do you want to be stuck with “attainable” and “realistic” goals when what you really dream about is a 3-day workweek, frequent international travel, and enough money so your partner no longer has to be tied to their life-sucking job? Seems pretty clear that those safe, smart goals aren’t going to get you there. Consider what happens when you set an “attainable” goal of earning 10% more than you did last year. You might work 10% more. You might spend 10% more on ads or product creation. You might even reach out to 10% more potential clients. All good advice, but…it will not fund your family’s international vacation. An increase of 10% will not change your life situation in the way you need.
Setting those goals, it’s likely you will be able to attain about 10% increase or more. It is very likely you will be able to leverage up, rather easily, actually 10%. “Not bad!” you say. After all, that was your goal. #WIN Right? But did that 10% goal inspire you to work harder? Or did it create a subconscious ceiling on your earning potential that you are then unable to break through? Rather than focusing on goals that are attainable and realistic, savvy entrepreneurs know that the key to incredible success lies in creating lofty goals that feel out of reach—maybe even UN-attainable. This is how you manifest your dreams! They don’t strive to earn 10% more than last year. They want 50% or even 100% more. They stretch themselves. They find new—and better—ways to do things, so they don’t have to work twice as hard, but they remain open to the possibility of doing so—at least in the short term—when its necessary. Of course, you cannot simply declare crazy goals and expect the universe to hand them to you. If you want to learn how to manifest like a MASTER I have several programs to help you change your mindset. (Visit some of out classes here.) When you are ready to put aside those smart goals and live you dream life, I’m here to support you. To know more book a discovery session today. Isn’t it time you lived the life you dream about? Speak soon, Sarah If there’s one thing that holds promising entrepreneurs back from launching their business, it’s this: a lack of confidence in their products. Sure, you think that new course or workshop is a great idea, but how do you know it will sell? Imagine spending weeks or even months of time—plus the cost of document design, video editing and all the other pieces that go along with it—only to discover it’s not what your audience wants or needs. How frustrating would that be? You don’t have to leave it to chance, though. There are plenty of ways to test your idea before spending the time and energy on a full launch. Just Ask This is the simplest way to get a feel for what your market needs and wants. Simply ask them. Create a survey with Survey Monkey (or even a Google form) and send it out to your mailing list. For best results, keep it short, but do ask:
Listen to Their Complaints If you have a community (or are part of one) of ideal clients, pay attention to what they’re asking about the most. These are the things they need help with. For example, if you’re a business coach and your Facebook group is filled with questions about running Facebook ads, then clearly there is a need for some training in that area. Learn From Your Competition Hopefully you have a list of competitors and you’re reading their blogs and emails, and lurking in their Facebook groups. This is a great way to gain insight into what they’re doing—not to copy them, but to discover what’s hot right now. Remember, there are enough customers out there for everyone. I have had my competition purchase my paid products as well. Again, you should never copy anyone, but you can either:
