I think we have all seen or read about the extraordinary power of self-confidence. But not everyone can embrace this energy and boldly believe in themselves. Perhaps it's something you struggle with, as well? Read on to understand what self-belief is and how to cultivate more self-confidence in your life.
For those that believe in themselves, nothing seems to hold them back. It almost sounds like magic, all they have to do is commit to a project or situation, and they seem always to succeed.
How would your life change if you mastered this mindset and had the confidence to try for more?
First, let's look deeper at self-belief.
A healthy self-belief gives you the power to push forward during difficult times and to defy the odds. You can handle any roadblocks that come along. When you believe in yourself, you will easily brush off the naysayers and negative people. Also, instead of worrying over every decision and second-guessing yourself, you have peace of mind, knowing you are doing what's right for you.
How do you become more self-confident?
One way is to define your goals. You wouldn't expect an airline pilot to fly to a new country without a map. You, too, need a map to guide you. I see too many people skip this step, and then they are left wonder why they aren't getting anywhere.
For instance, instead of saying, "I want to be happy," make a list of things that make you happy and then set goals to engage in those activities. Or, if you know your current career is unsatisfying, set a goal to change careers and work out the necessary steps. I know it can sound overwhelming at first, but breaking down your goal into baby steps will become MUCH more manageable.
Goals are your map, but carrying through with them is only done when you believe that it's possible. The belief is the energy you need to take action. This positive energy will also help you to focus on getting your tasks complete.
But the cool thing about believing in yourself and your ability to achieve your goals is that moving forward with them, you will also build more self-confidence. Each step you take towards your goals builds confidence and self-belief.
When you become more self-confident, you will also attract people that are focused on moving forward too. You never know who is watching your progress, and you will show them what is possible as you move forward.
When you run into blocks (and you will), that confidence will help you move through them. You will also now not become discouraged as quickly or give up at the first obstacles. With self-belief, you will be more willing to try alternative routes.
If you are struggling to build self-confidence, you might want to seek out groups of like-minded individuals. It is tough to become more confident when the people around you are focused on failure and are in a negative state of mind.
Step outside your comfort zone. Attend conferences, meet-ups and sign up for groups online and in person. It's great to get encouragement from groups of like-minded people. You will also make friends with people who share your sense of motivation.
Plus, it's always nice to know that you have the support of others. They will lend their insight and understanding, which can also build more self-confidence. Your self-belief and self-confidence will strengthen considerably from taking these steps.
"Bad energy," "negative energy," or bad vibes are used universally to describe people or situations that make us feel apprehensive, uncomfortable, or anxious.
But what does that mean?
Very few people can see energy, but almost all of us can feel or sense it on some level. Everything around us is made of energy; the earth, the cosmos, and our bodies are all made of energy. This energy is in flux all the time; it is constantly moving and shifting. We are impacted by what we consume; eat, drink, watch, and engage in, which also happens to the people around us.
This energy is flowing around us constantly, through our homes, influencing the people we spend time with, coating our possessions, affecting our health, and the list goes on and on.
So when you hear someone talking about a "vibe," they are speaking about a feeling. For example, you might go to the market, and as you are paying for your purchase, you interact with a person and get an odd vibe from them, or you might also really connect with someone and feel a good vibe from them like a kindred soul, someone you resonate with and want to get to know. This feeling isn't based on appearance but on the person's energy.
Have you ever gone to a meeting or to visit a friend and walked into a room and felt the energy is "off"? People's moods can have an instant effect on the whole vibe of a room. The vibration felt, bad or good, can then influence your interaction and even your mood. (This is especially true for empaths.)
How To Know If Your House Has Negative Energy
Ideally, your home is a peaceful sanctuary for you and your family. It should be your safe place: a place to relax and unwind and a place to restore your energy. Your home should be both a reflection of yourself as well a place to nurture your spirit.
But if your house doesn't feel that way, it might signal you need to work on clearing the stagnant energy before it becomes harmful.
Signs the energy is negative include:
Constantly arguing, complaining, criticizing, or feel trapped when you are home. Feeling sad, anxious, or unsafe at home are also signs the vibe is out of balance. Unhealthy relationships under your roof are also an indication that the energy is off.
Too much clutter, trash, or chaos can also lead to negative energy. An area where people are constantly ill, plants won't grow, pets run away, or people don't like to spend time is also a sign of negative energy.
Don't get me wrong; everyone can have off days or days things don't work out. I'm talking about more bad days than good. It's essential to understand this difference and not jump to conclusions.

Are you doing everything you are supposed to and still struggling? Happiness, healthy relationships, a satisfying career, and wealth all seem out of your control? Maybe you are even asking yourself why you're not getting ahead? Are you having difficulty finding opportunities, or could it be you're not grabbing the chances when they come to you?
I work with clients that struggle with these same issues, and the most common reason people fail is that they're engaging in self-defeating behaviors. Could this be a problem for you too?
If you're not finding happiness, engaging in healthy relationships, or building a satisfying career, you might want to consider whether or not you've become your own worst enemy. Often we feel like we have no control over our lives, but in fact, you could be trapped in a self-defeating cycle that keeps you miserable.
How can you tell? Look for these five signs:
You Use the Emergency Exit
Or the "nothing is ever finished" cycle. Do you tend to come close to completing a project only to stop at the last minute? When you feel the need to stop, ask yourself why? Could it be you're afraid to take the next step? Ask yourself what you are worried about? Are you afraid of failure or success? And know that you are not alone; most people are fearful of moving forward and taking chances. For some folks, this is why we sabotage relationships the moment we start to feel close to them or deeply connect with another person. It's also why we throw a monkey wrench in the works when we hear we're being considered for promotion.
Instead, complete your project/task before moving on to something else.
Can't ever seem to get anything done? Deadlines come and go, and still, you can't seem to get motivated? It could mean you don't feel you have the skills you need to finish the task. When we don't feel confident in our abilities, it's natural to put things off, hoping that we will finish them later. The problem is this clarity rarely comes. In truth, we only wind up making ourselves feel worse by missing deadlines.
Instead, ask for help.
You Trust Other People More Than You Trust Yourself
It's essential to ask for help, seek advice, and receive feedback, but you also need to trust your instincts. When we value other's people opinions over our own, to our detriment, we are self-sabotaging. (This is especially true if you have "friendly enemies" in your circle.) If you are allowing other people's opinions to dictate your life, then you are giving away your power and allowing them to determine your life.
Instead, trust your institution.
You're Not Focused On the Right Thing
Are you easily distracted? If you're worried about one project's outcome, it's not uncommon to throw yourself into another. We do this to take our minds off of what worries us. But unfortunately, it also distracts us from what needs to be our primary focus. I see people getting lost in social media and crafting the best business post ever but, sadly, not taking the time to create a product to sell.
Instead, look at the big picture and focus on what's important.
Are you constantly criticizing yourself or using negative self-talk to keep yourself from succeeding? Negative self-talk can stop you from asking someone out on a date, prevent you from sending your resume off for your dream job, or hurt you in so many other ways.
Instead, be your own personal cheerleader and practice positive affirmations.
All of these behaviors can have a seriously detrimental effect on your life. It may take some time to change these behaviors, but working together, I can help you take back control of your life and end self-sabotage.

If you’re on the Spiritual Path, you’ve probably already heard the message of “service.” What it means is the best work is when we’re of service to others. Instead of doing something for us, for a reward, or to gain something. Being of service to something, a person, a group, a community, a cause, or a belief means that you’ve chosen to engage without expectation of reciprocation.
The Virgo energy right now is all about being of service, so use this week to consider whether you’re of service to others and maybe what you could do better. Check in with your Guides, journal about it, and take time to think it over. Use your gifts (no matter what they are) to be of service and positively impact the world!

It's time to heal yourself…
Make yourself the focus.
Stop "getting by to get by" and focus on personal living.
You are in the present
You stop the distractions and the self-loathing.
You become your focus, not an afterthought.
And realize you are in the middle of a Spiritual awakening.
Let go of the past
And find the will to go on,
Move forward with compassion.
You expand who you are on all levels.
Know that you will find the power to do whatever you need to do
The power is there,
It's always been there, but you never accepted it.
You were tricked into not believing you were not worthy
Or that somehow you had to "acquire" what you already possess.
You were manipulated to feel small, but it was never true.
Every time you gave up, a new door opened.
The process began again.
But now, you must grab your power.
No one can give it to you; you must own it.
You are the artist of this dream
The creator of your life, and now you must
Pick up the brush and begin to create your masterpiece.
You must release the illusion of being alone,
Of being separate or
Of being not enough.
You are part of the Universe.
Part of the Collective
Part of Source energy.
