That’s 5 hours per week, or more than a half-day off. Imagine having everything done by 11:00 a.m. every Friday? And also imagine you were free to enjoy a worry free weekend? It is possible! Once you put these solutions in place, your projects should flow smoother and give you more time to do what’s important, like spend time with your family. Begin with an organization chart. If you have multiple people on your team, this is critical. Rather than everyone coming to you for questions—or worse, asking the wrong person and getting the wrong answer—take the time to create an organization chart. Add it to your operations manual. Don’t have one? Know is the time to stop and put that together. Once you have it in place make sure your team knows where it is and what it’s for. Now, rather than your email, phone, text or Skype blowing up with questions all day long, you’ll have time for the more important tasks. Next its time to think about proper documentation. Do you find yourself reinventing the wheel every time you have to record a podcast or begin a webinar? Take five minutes and document the steps, then next time you have to do it (or better yet, when you hand it off to a VA) you’ll be able to quickly work out what needs to happen. There will be fewer mistakes, and the work will get done faster. Begin to actually use your calendar! Get serious about your calendar and use time blocking. Start scheduling appointments with yourself. Decide when you’ll check email and when you’ll work on client projects, then stick to the schedule. These self-imposed deadlines will not only force you to get the work done, but they’ll help keep you focused, so rather than wasting time on Facebook, you’ll be working on your business. All of these systems can be set up in an afternoon—at least initially. But the time they save when you use them consistently is phenomenal. An hour a day is just the beginning, but you have to take action. You have to put in the work and actually commit to these solutions. But trust me, when you have them in place you’ll wonder how you ever managed before! So take some time this week and do these simple organizational steps to improve your business and make your life easier.

No, it’s not a new fad diet. There is only one rule to this diet – to eat cherries every day and/or to drink fresh cherry juice. Although they are more popular for their taste, researchers are now seeing that cherries are actually extremely healthy as well. The bioactive components and nutrients found in this fruit are linked to the prevention of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, inflammatory diseases, cancer, and Alzheimer’s disease. However, not only will they protect you from various health conditions, but cherries will also make it easier for you to accomplish your weight loss goals. Cherries were found to help promote weight loss as well lead to a more well rounded, healthy diet. Cherries don’t contain a lot of calories (the average cherry contains a whole 5 calories). Although a lot of other fruits contain fewer calories, it’s worth noting that cherries aren’t considered to be high-calorie foods. To put it in perspective, the average calories per a single banana is roughly 100. You can easily satisfy your hunger with a dozen cherries, which roughly amounts to only 60 calories. These luscious bits of healthy goodness also do a good job of satisfying your hunger because they are rich in fiber. All weight-loss diets suggest that you should consume more fiber. The great thing about fiber is that consuming it will help you feel full for an extended time period. This means that it will actually help prevent you from overeating on other foods that are potentially high in calories. Dark cherries also contain compounds known as anthocyanins, which will help you reduce belly fat. Back in 2008, the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry published a study, which showed just how powerful these compounds are when it comes to reduced belly fat (http://www.nutraingredients.com/Research/Anthocyanins-show-potent-anti-obesity-potential-study). Anthocyanins are flavonoid pigments that are found in a lot of different fruits and vegetables. Although there is still a lot of research to be done on the way anthocyanins are absorbed and distributed in the tissues of our bodies, researchers generally agree that these compounds can be a powerful tool for weight loss. Although cherries definitely can help you reduce belly fat, simply adding them to your existing diet won’t do the trick. There are no magical foods that you will help you shed those extra pounds simply by consuming them, while still overeating. Cherries will help you reach your weight loss goals, but you will also need to make sure that your diet is filled with other fresh produce. On top of that, you should avoid eating junk food and you should exercise regularly if you want to shed those extra pounds. If you need help building a healthy weight loss plan, I can help. With everything we know about Cherries you should definitely include them in your diet. They make a great snack and are amazing in smoothies. I suggest you keep your fridge stocked with washed cherries, you will always have a healthy snack close on hand.

Today we take a look at email expectations and tips for connecting with clients.
Let’s be honest, you’re spending a lot of time each week crafting emails to your subscribers, but none of that will do you any good if you don’t have a decent delivery rate. If those emails land in your potential customers’ spam folders, you don’t have much of a chance of making a sale or building a relationship with them. Here are three tips that will help insure that your emails make it to your subscribers’ inboxes. Use A Reputable Auto Responder Service Using a reputable auto responder service is the single best thing you can do to improve your chances of avoiding spam folders. Companies like Aweber and Mail Chimp work hard at making sure they are white listed with the big Internet Service Providers and email providers like Gmail. Most auto responder companies will list their delivery stats. In addition the good ones will make sure your emails are compliant and keep you out of hot water.
Set Expectations and Keep Them
Your chances of staying in the main inbox are high when your subscribers regularly open your email. The best way to insure that – outside of providing great content that your subscribers are looking for – is to set expectations from the beginning. Let your subscribers know early on when and how often they can expect an email from you. You can even use “foreshadowing” in your messages. For example, toward the end of your current broadcast email, mention that they can look for another email from you next Tuesday. Once you’ve set those expectations do what you can to meet them. Yes, things happen every once in a while. In general though, do your best to keep your promise and email when your readers expect it. Doing this regularly will improve your open rates and thus your overall deliverability. Clean Up Your List Regularly Another good habit is to clean up your list regularly. If subscribers haven’t been opening your emails for the past six month, chances are good they are no longer interested in what you have to offer or they may not be seeing your emails. Check your auto responder services manual or help files to see how you can go about deleting anyone that hasn’t opened an email from you in the past six months. If that freaks you out, or you have a seasonal business, start by deleting anyone that hasn’t looked at your emails in the past year. Following these tips and keeping an eye on email deliverability in general will make sure your emails are being read by your subscribers and that’s the point of email marketing, isn’t it? Speak Soon~ Sarah Why You Need To Keep A Household Budget We all work hard to earn a living. We should make sure we spend the money we bring home wisely. That’s where a household budget comes in. It’s a good tool to see at a glance what we have coming in, what’s going out (and what that money is paying for) and if there’s anything left at the end of the month to put into savings. One of the first thing I do with a new client is set up a budget. But before we dive into exactly what a budget can do for us, let’s consider for a minute what will happen if we’re not tracking income and expenses. We may end up spending more than we’re making in a given month (or two, or three). Over time that can put us into some pretty hot water financially. We may also spend a lot more than we’d like to believe on things like eating out, going to the cinema or new clothes. Having a budget gives us more control over where we want to really spend our hard earned cash. Maybe that’s dinner and a movie, but maybe it isn’t. Wouldn’t it be nice to have an actual choice? It Tracks Where Your Money Is Going A budget simply tracks your money. You record where the money comes from each month (your income) and then write out everything you spend it on, starting with your regular monthly bills like mortgage or rent, car payments, utility bills etc. What’s left after all the bills are paid is your discretional income. Helps You Identify Things You Waste Money On Having it all in front of you in black and white helps you identify things you’re wasting your money on. It makes you reconsider if you really want to spend well over $200 a month on Cable TV or $150 on your large cell phone plan. Or how about that yearly magazine subscription to something you no longer read? Go through your expenses and reevaluate if this is REALLY how you want to spend your pay check. A Budget Allows You To Be Proactive About Savings
Saving money without a budget is hard. We go in with the best of intentions at the beginning of the month, but somehow there isn’t anything left at the end of the month. An honest budget gives you a chance to be a bit more proactive. Begin by setting aside some money for savings at the beginning of the month, even if it’s just $20. Put it in the budget as a regular expense, just like you do with your other urgent bills. If you need to, open a separate savings account so you’re not tempted to spend it. Ensures You’re Not Spending More Than You’re Making Most importantly, your budget will keep you on track and help you make sure you’re not spending more than you’re making. And I don’t have to tell you that that’s pretty important for your financial wellbeing and peace of mind. Want more money tips? Sign up for the Bliss newsletter. Speak soon, Sarah |
