I was on the phone with a wonderful, client this past week and I was making her talk about everything she wanted in life, in love, in business, all of the above. And I do mean it when I say "making her" talk about it. 😳
Coaches are good for that- making you have conversations you would normally avoid or runaway from. I could tell I was making her uncomfortable, admitting she wanted “things” and experiences and success. She was finally able to admit she wanted to make lots of money, travel and fall in love and more. She was crying really hard as we cleared those blocks and made room for her dreams to become reality. #goodtimes lol Why is it so hard to talk about what we truly want? Because on some level we feel we don’t deserve it. In the beginning when we name our desires and give ourselves permission to admit what we REALLY want something, so many shame-and-fear issues will come forward. Buried deep down inside most of us have a small (or not so small) voice saying we don’t deserve to have the life we secretly want. We are somehow not even allowed to talk about it, much less have it. But guess what? YOU CAN HAVE THE THINGS YOU WANT. Just as my client can have her dream life, so can you. You are “allowed” to have a full, happy life. An amazing life filled to the bring with adventure, love and success. If you need some support in making this happen or in releasing old, out dated beliefs surrounding worthiness I’m here to help. Why not book a (free) live call and let’s discuss it. You could be in a very different (and more desirable) spot this time next year. You could be living those dreams…. Speak soon, Sarah Hello Dear Friends,
As we move closer to 2020, many of us are looking back at 2019 and the ending of a decade. Planning for the future is important, but so is looking back on the journey. All your hard work has put you in a better place than when this year began. Be thankful and give yourself the credit you deserve. But now with the holidays, many of you are forced to make uncomfortable decisions as boundaries are tested. While you might feel obligated to take part in family gatherings or attend parties, remember you are allowed to simply say no. This may mean breaking family traditions or routines, but your peace of mind is worth so much more. You have worked hard to gain ground and put these boundaries in place. I encourage you to stand tall now and not entertain drama or negative energy of any kind this holiday season. While some situations will test your patience and resolve, stand your ground and keep firm on what you allow into your life. Don't overreact, but also don't give in. Your attention and focus are your greatest powers. Use them wisely and don't allow yourself to be drawn into unnecessary drama or anything that doesn't add value to your life. Protect your energy and you will have a much more pleasant holiday experience and start 2020 from a calmer, more relaxed point-of-view. If you need support, I'm here. Together we can define these boundaries and build your best, blissful life. Speak soon, Sarah Could you be an empath or a highly sensitive person?

Contact me today for more information. Sarah In todays busy and stressful society most of us are overwhelmed and feel burned out. This is magnified when you are an empath. This can put a strain on your relationships, your career and of course your health. But the good news is there are few a simple tweaks you can put into your schedule that will make a huge impact on your stress levels. In this post I will share a few simple changes you can begin implementing today to bring more calmness and peace into your life. Begin by recognizing there is a problem. Empaths don’t just sympathize or empathize with other people, they understand deeply what it is like for another person. Walk a miles in my shoes? Thats a given as an empath, when an empath connects with another person they begin to take on their emotions, fears and problems. This can be overwhelming! Don’t wait till you collapse in bed before you make a change. Begin today by scheduling downtime now. Set aside several hours each week to be alone. Meditate, read or just sit without any distractions or responsibilities. If there is a stressful family event coming up it’s okay if you bow out or at least don’t do as much as normal. You deserve time off too. Read on to learn some simple tips you can begin incorporating into you life today to ease the stress. Click here to read more about empaths and their abilities, gifts and struggles. Move Your Body When your inbox number is higher than your step counter there is a problem. It happens, but rather than scolding yourself get up. Walk around your work area, go for a walk at lunch. Take the stairs instead of the evaluator. The more you move the happier your body will be and the stuck, stressful energy will move off you too! Spend Time By Water Many people, especially Empaths, find bodies of water calming, and relaxing. Most Empaths and HSP are drawn to oceans, rivers, and lakes especially in times of high stress. If you are feeling overwhelmed, even just sitting quietly for an hour by a body of water or pool can be a great help. Stop the Negative Self-Talk As an empath it is easy to become overwhelmed by everyone around you. One way to combat this is positive self talk. Take a moment and write out what you are saying to yourself, Is it positive and helpful or is it cruel and hateful? Would you say this to someone you loved? If not, make it a priority to stop the negative talk. With time and practice you can replace this negative dialogue with positive, loving words. Affirmations, meditation and self care can be a big help in ending negative self talk. Check these videos for affirmations you can easily work into your morning routine. Skip the Family Drama If you are feeling drained, overwhelmed or stressed out by your extended family you may need to step away for a break. It's not easy but sometimes we have to for our own peace of mind. Creating boundaries can also help you to stay calmer. Remember you are in control of your life and how much of it you give to others. If you are feeling tired, stressed or overwhelmed it is okay to say, “No” to family functions, holiday events and other celebrations for you own heath. You have the right to limit your exposure to toxic situation and people. It is up to you to build in alone time and recognize when you are at your limit. Empaths are kind caring people who do so much good in the world, but this cannot happen when they are stressed out and overwhelmed. Decide today to begin taking better care of yourself. If you would like more information on empaths then join our mailing list here (link) and why not visit me on FB? I post daily on empath issues. You can also book a empath discovery session here. Where we can design a personalized plan to help you eliminate the stressor from your life and build in more happiness and joy. Speak soon, Sarah Read more on EMPATHS
There is, of course more to it than this list, but it does give you an idea of the differences between a HSP and an Empath. As a note: One isn’t better than the other. They are closely related and have some of the same issues and hurdles. I work with both types of people to help them thrive in a very overwhelming world. Are you ready to find out more? It is time to make self-care a priority now, book a session here and lets work together to make 2019 your best year! Speak soon, Sarah Do you procrastinate? If the answer is ‘yes', watch for the number of times you tell yourself you “should” be doing what you can’t get motivated to do. According to Transactional Analysis (a theory prevalent in psychology circles during the 1970s) your inner parent is scolding you, which tends to cause either resistance or helplessness.
Focus instead on either promising yourself a reward or finding a way to make what you’re avoiding fun. That’s the way to free your Inner Child… and reclaim your true Adult, the one who feels confident and in control. I'm currently working on a workshop on this topic (Procrastination) if you are interested leave me a comment or sign up for the mailing list. Speak soon, Sarah Problems with money? It could be a money block or a false idea you have accepted as truth. The good news is, it's easy to dissolve!
Why not set up a free 1/2 hour consultation (not a sales call) and we can discuss. If I feel it is something I can help you with, we can go from there. What have you got to loose? Speak soon, Sarah |
