Why It Is Important To Visualize Your Goals?
When people visualize anything, it makes it much more likely for them to make it a reality. Seeing your goal in your mind is the first step to success.
Brilliant athletes and famous authors use this method. Also it’s how Thomas Edison improved the lightbulb, (he didn’t invent it as many believe). Edison did have a vision and stopped at nothing to see it through. Steve Jobs was another visionary, who pictured how his products could help improve peoples’ lives.
Visualizing your goals carries through on this same concept. You paint a picture of what you would like accomplished by a certain period. When you have that picture, you can determine what is necessary to implement it and are more likely not to get sidetracked.
Once you break down the steps to accomplish your goals, you can use other visualization tools to help you manage those steps. You may choose a vision board, mindmap, guided meditations or you may choose to keep track of your tasks in a spreadsheet. Pick a tool that makes sense to you.
Many people create a vision boards to help visualize their goals. One of my most popular classes is on manifesting with Vision Boards. I also record personal, guided meditations to help my clients visualize their goals. If you would like to attend a vision board workshop, take part in a manifesting class or work with me to achieve your goals why not book a complementary discovery session today?
Some folks love using Mindmaps to brainstorm and move their ideas forward. You can use dedicated software, or a sheet of paper. The concept is to start in the middle of the mindmap with a principal idea or task. Then, when you think of related items, you draw out from the central area a box or text with your new thoughts, etc. You continue this process out from the center linking ideas and thoughts with lines. It helps you to see the whole plan from a bird’s eye view and makes brainstorming easier. But honestly this concept doesn’t work for everyone. But, people who use this tool, swear by their effectiveness. .
Which tools is best for you? Well you can incorporate all the concepts above or use only a few. The key is to experiment to see which ones resonate with you. It’s a learning process and usually based on personal preference as to which tool you select. However, that being said, the key is not to get caught up in the process itself.
Whatever means you use to visualize your goals, you need to make sure you track the progress. If one tools doesn’t work, move on to the next until you find the right one for you.
It is possible to super charge your success with the simple step of visualization. Leave me a comment if you have questions or feel free to share your success stories using this method.
