The Root Chakra and Emotions

You have many chakras located through out the body. Most often we speak of the 7 major chakras or energy centers. The "root" chakra is usually considered number one of the BIG Seven. Have you learned a bit about it from Yoga or Reiki Sessions? I have been studying the fascinating world of chakras all my life and even teach classes on these amazing energy centers.

The Root chakra is located at the base of the spine. When this chakra is blocked you may experience lower back pain, constipation, varicose veins, poor circulation, leg or foot pain, lethargy, headaches, bloating and gas.  You may also feel "floaty" or "spaced out". Another sign this chakra could be blocked is a sudden  inability to focus or concentrate. You may experience a poor memory, diminished sexual drive or be overly sexual. #Yikes!

People with blocked root chakras often have problems with stability, money and fear. Excessive agitation, obsessive worry and anxiety are also associated with this chakra. 

​All the manifesting work in the world will not help if this chakra is blocked. You also need it in good working order to sleep well.

Reiki does wonders to help clear blocks from the chakras. Affirmations, meditating and spending more time in nature, especially walking around barefoot are also helpful. When we loose our connection to the earth the root usually is the first chakra to go off balance. When one chakra is off balance or blocked, the other chakras try to compensate and you end up even more off balance. You may notice sudden emotional shifts and suddenly have new "fears" or worries surfacing.

These affirmations can be helpful.
Try repeating  affirmations morning and night, drink more water and remember to be kind to yourself.

"I am safe."
"I am protected."
"I step into my own power."
"I am connected to the earth."
